A Day of Glamour: Diva Photo Shoot at Newburgh Healthcare!
At Newburgh Healthcare, we believe in creating unforgettable moments for our residents—and this was no exception! Our community was filled with sparkle and creativity as residents took part in a Diva Photo Shoot, transforming into dazzling gods and goddesses for the day.
The Activities Department staff stepped into the role of stylists for the day, draping residents in a variety of elegant fabrics that instantly gave the look of flowing gowns and regal attire.
To complete their ensembles, each resident was adorned with beautiful accessories including jewelry, scarves, and headpieces.
Once ready, residents had their portraits taken by our Creative Media Director, Rebecca Odom.
This special day wouldn’t have been possible without the teamwork and generosity of many. We extend our heartfelt thanks to our incredible CNA staff, who helped prepare residents with hair and makeup, and to the family and community members who generously donated fabrics, jewelry, and accessories that made the photo shoot extraordinary.
The styling was done by Activities Director Kamila Mullis, Activity Assistants Chasity Ly and Denise Grissom (not pictured). Photography and editing were done by Rebecca Odom, Creative Media Director.
Through professional photography and digital artistry, our resident's images were transformed into stunning works of art, capturing each resident as the royalty they truly are!
Lights, Camera, Action! Newburgh Healthcare Residents Shine in Their First Music Video!
At Newburgh Healthcare, we love creating unique experiences that let our residents shine—and in August, they truly became stars! For the very first time, our residents had the chance to film their own music video to the iconic hit “It’s Raining Men.”
To bring the vision to life, the Activity Department outfitted residents with pink ponchos and rainbow umbrellas, adding a splash of color and fun to the performance.
Our Activity staff also took on the role of directors, guiding the group through playful choreography that had everyone smiling, laughing, and moving to the beat.
The gentlemen of Newburgh Healthcare performed in front of a green screen, allowing us to add in special effects during editing.
Our residents had an absolute blast, and we couldn’t be happier with how the video turned out. At Newburgh Healthcare, moments like this remind us that life is always worth celebrating—in song, in dance, and in style!

Sparkle & Creativity: Diva Month Decorations!
Our residents had a fabulous time preparing the August-themed Diva Month decorations! Using old records as their canvas, they painted them with glue and sprinkled on plenty of glitter to create dazzling, one-of-a-kind pieces.
We always love finding creative ways to celebrate special events, and our residents truly enjoyed adding their own artistic touch to Diva Month décor.
At Newburgh Healthcare, every project is another chance to make memories—and these glittery records are sure to shine throughout our celebrations!
